15 years ago today, the music world lost Jeff Buckley. He released only one studio album before his death; 1994’s Grace.

This is the first Jeff Buckley song I ever heard, back when I was a junior in high school, and Jeff was already gone. My brother had insisted I listen to Grace, so I put it into my CD walkman and hit shuffle…

I was in the public library at the time, and I had a book in my lap, expecting to listen while reading. However, when Jeff’s voice began to whisper to me through those 10$ headphones, I didn’t dare try to focus on anything else. I closed the book and stared out the nearest window, utterly spellbound as his voice streamed over me like the gentle golden light of the afternoon sun.

I don’t believe in Heaven, but if angels spoke to me in this man’s voice, I’d become a believer on the spot.

Soooo… I’ve had these for years and thought I’d share so that you too can experience the joy of inadvertently snorting whatever you were drinking/eating into your sinus cavities.

The artist is named Tubby Fleck, but he closed down his site years ago due to art theft and I haven’t found him again.  He had a TON of goofy fighting game art. Teh sadz.

And yes, I love Guilty Gear.  GGXX was one of the few fighting games where I loved the world/mythos AND could actually kick a decent amount of ass at the actual game itself. Mains were Ky and Millia.

I have to say the color scheme is my favorite part, the colors are in such lovely earthtone harmony. And her expression so nicely captures the desperation she was feeling when she decided to take that potion. Great job toning down the godawful official Geneticist outfit and giving her a good “armchair scientist” physique too. :B
