Leaves from the vine, falling so slow;
Like fragile, tiny shells, drifting in the foam.
Little soldier boy, come marching home;
Brave soldier boy, comes marching home.
I wasn’t able to draw at the time the Pacific Rim sequel was announced, so to compensate, I animated all the drift compatibles dancing horribly in celebration of the upcOMING ANIMATED SERIES 8V
OH MY GOD THIS IS PURE GOLD I LOVE THIS SO MUCH
Surreal Underwater Photo Shoot with Freedivers on a Freedivers on a Shipwreck in Bali : Benjamin Von Wong
Earlier this year, artist and photographer (and fellow Canadian!) Benjamin Von Wong ventured to Bali for the photo shoot of a lifetime. The always ambitious photographer envisioned an underwater shoot with freedivers amongst a shipwreck 25 meters (82 ft) beneath the surface.
To pull off the project, Von Wong assembled a team that consisted of seven divers and two freediving models, Nora Li and Camilla Argent (Nora and Camilla can hold their breath for 3:36 and 4:40 respectively). Shooting underwater carries a unique set of challenges, as Von Wong outlines in his informative blog post.
Got tagged for a little “get to know you” meme by Nina! Hooray! :D
Nickname: Rose/Rosie to my family since my middle name is Rose, and Tris to many online folk because of one of my OCs (Tristan Sky’s-Shadow.)

Last thing I googled was: “Water tribe clothing”
First thing that comes to mind: I should either be finishing the crappy drawing that made me Google “water tribe clothing” or taking advantage of the Labor Day weekend exp event on RO.
One place that makes me happy and why: Shadow Cliffs - the reservoir/recreation area near my apartment. There’s a big crooked sycamore with a nice thick branch that extends out over the water that’s perfect for sitting and watching the birds and water critters. I need to go there more often.
Favorite beverage: Black tea (lychee and chai flavors in particular.)
The last movie I saw at the theatre was: Godzilla (Ugh, not worth it. Godzilla and the other monsters are great, but the protagonist is basically a muscular Caucasian turnip, and the token Japanese scientist constantly looks like Godzilla just ate his dog even though he didn’t.)
3 things I can’t live without: Good songwriting, fresh fruit and fuzzy kitty bellies for me to rub my face on.
Something I plan on learning: Everything I can about veterinary medicine, especially terminology, abbreviations and drug names/uses.
Some advice for my followers: Feeling depressed is okay. The sooner you realize that, and the sooner you stop questioning it and feeling guilty about it, the faster the feeling will pass. That goes for people with clinical depression and those who just feel sad once in awhile.
